End fie4ld overlays loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion in a book cover / cartouche-like rendering. Ornate floral design motif. Colors and shades include: Antique ivory, sapphire blue, beige, coffee brown, navy blue, dark teal, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Some oxidation and patina to the tips of the wool. Common for type and age, there is a notable difference between shades / colors present on the front of the carpet when compared to the more vivid shades found on the reverse.
